Toast is recruiting on behalf of this company, which is redefining food packaging through its zero-waste solutions. They are seeking a Product Manager to ensure the seamless delivery of innovative products and promote exceptional customer experiences. This role is pivotal in advancing their mission of eliminating single-use plastic waste through Reusables-as-a-Service.

The ideal candidate will lead the end-to-end development of software and hardware products, driving collaboration across technical teams, stakeholders, and clients. With a passion for sustainability and a talent for managing complex operations, the Product Manager will be instrumental in scaling reusable packaging solutions on university campuses, hospitals, and beyond.
 

Key Responsibilities



Product Development & Delivery
  • Interface with product, engineering, and stakeholders to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Implement and maintain agile development practices, including sprint planning and daily syncs.
  • Write detailed product specifications, user stories, and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with founders to define the product lifecycle from ideation to launch.

Client & Team Coordination
 
  • Act as a primary touchpoint for clients during onboarding and post-launch.
  • Coordinate across Customer Success and Technology teams to scope integrations and configure products for new customers.
  • Resolve bottlenecks, mitigate risks, and ensure timely delivery of projects.

Process Development
 
  • Develop and refine processes for incident tracking, product delivery, and quality assurance.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs to measure the success of products and processes.

Technical Oversight
 
  • Understand the architecture, APIs, and technical dependencies of the product suite.
  • Balance prioritization between customer-facing features, technical improvements, and infrastructure needs.
  • Conduct QA for software, hardware, and overall service offerings.

Strategic Contribution
 
  • Provide insights on product strategy and inform business development efforts.
  • Participate in client kick-off meetings, roadmap discussions, and retrospective analyses.
 

Requirements

 
  • 3-5 years of experience in product management or a related role.
  • Proven ability to think critically and make decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Based in Vancouver, BC.
  • Technical expertise in software and hardware development.
  • Familiarity with UX/UI design tools (e.g., Figma).
  • Ability to write and review code.
  • Background in engineering or a related field.
  • PMP certification or equivalent experience.
