Senior Software Engineer
Toast is recruiting on behalf of this company for a Founding Engineer to join their team, pioneering the future of electronics design with AI. This company’s platform is built on a proprietary dataset of over 10 million components, schematic symbols, and footprints, enabling engineers to design hardware 10x faster. As a founding engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping a new tool, which leverages AI to transform circuit board design. This hybrid role requires in-person collaboration three days a week.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance the frontend of the tool using JavaScript frameworks such as Electron.js and Angular.
- Build API integrations into desktop tools and connect to web-based endpoints.
- Contribute to evolving an alpha version into a robust, feature-rich tool based on user feedback.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features, ensuring seamless functionality and user experience.
- Solve complex technical challenges and contribute to architectural decisions as a founding member of the team.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering with a track record of designing and building robust applications.
- Proficiency in JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or similar).
- Experience building scalable and maintainable applications.
- Hybrid work availability, with 3 days per week in the office.
Nice to Haves:
- Experience developing desktop applications using Electron.js or similar frameworks.
- Familiarity with computer-aided design (CAD) software.
- Background in electronic circuit design or Electrical Engineering.
