Software Engineer
Job Description
Toast is recruiting on behalf of this company for a Software Engineer to join a mission-driven team dedicated to transforming meetings with cutting-edge technology. As part of the team building their AI Meeting Assistant, you’ll work on innovative features that redefine meeting experiences worldwide. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate cross-functionally, experiment with new technologies, and contribute to a product that improves how teams work together globally.
This position is remote-first, with optional access to offices in Ottawa (HQ), Montreal, and Toronto for in-person collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Full-Stack Development: Build across the entire application stack using React, TypeScript, Django, Python, Relay, and GraphQL.
- AI Innovation: Experiment with AI technologies and large language models (LLMs) to enhance the meeting experience.
- Collaboration: Partner with designers, product leads, and QA analysts to create intuitive interfaces and user experiences.
- Code Quality: Write unit, regression, and integration tests to contribute to the CI pipeline and ensure high-quality output.
- Feature Ownership: Take full ownership of new features, from technical specifications to monitoring post-release metrics.
- Best Practices: Stay updated on the latest technologies and adopt best engineering practices within the team.
- Documentation: Write and contribute to technical specifications and documentation.
Requirements
- Experience: 2+ years of programming experience, including web application development across the stack. Personal projects, internships, and co-ops are considered valuable.
- Tech Stack Knowledge: Experience with Django and React is a plus, but familiarity with any web development framework and a willingness to learn are highly valued.
- Ownership: Excited to take full ownership of features, crafting technical specs, and maintaining post-release metrics.
- Collaboration: Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.

After crafting your unbiased profile, we submit it to our trusted clients. We work closely with these clients to ensure they understand the value you bring.
